AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO EARLENE WILLIAMS OF TATE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Earlene Williams of Tate County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction of the crime of false pretense in 1988 in Tate County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  Her sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for three (3) years.  Her probation was terminated on February 24, 1992.  Since that time she has conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
