AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ALL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES DELIVERED OR ISSUED FOR DELIVERY IN THIS STATE SHALL BE WRITTEN ON THE NAMED INSURED AND NOT ON THE VEHICLES OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE INSURED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. All automobile liability, automobile physical damage and automobile collision policies, or any combination thereof, delivered or issued for delivery in this state shall be written on the named insured and not on the vehicles owned and operated by the insured.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
