A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CHARLES TOLLIVER FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI, INCORPORATED.
WHEREAS, for the past 30 years, Mr. Charles Tolliver has provided a wealth of outstanding and committed services to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, Incorporated, and has been a valued and dedicated employee; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of Jackson State University, Mr. Tolliver commenced his employment with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, Incorporated, on January 28, 1974; and
WHEREAS, during the course of his tenure, Mr. Tolliver has served the organization in many capacities such as Unit Director, Director of Programs and many others; and
WHEREAS, currently fulfilling the position of Unit Director for the Capitol Unit, Mr. Tolliver's compassion and genuine interest and concern has allowed him the honor of working with children from all walks of life, both affluent and underprivileged, and providing him the opportunity to positively influence the lives of those individuals; and
WHEREAS, never failing to see a need of the children, he responded to those needs, children and organizational staff alike, by going above and beyond the call of duty, unselfishly dedicating his life to the club; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Tolliver has enjoyed the love, respect and support of his family, including his wife, Gail Tolliver, and two children, Charlon and Ollie Tolliver; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize the hard work and commitment of such outstanding Mississippians as Mr. Tolliver, whose tireless devotion to the cause and needs of the children of Mississippi has made him a hero in his own right:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Charles Tolliver for his many years of outstanding and dedicated services provided to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, Incorporated, and extend our warmest wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Charles Tolliver and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
