AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE DURING THE 2004 CALENDAR YEAR TO PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INC., AN AMOUNT DETERMINED BY THE BOARD TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS AND FOR CONTRACTING AND FUNDING THE OPERATION OF HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS IN PERRY COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute during the 2004 calendar year to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Incorporated, a community action agency, a sum in an amount determined by the board to be used as matching funds in order that Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Incorporated, may receive funds from the state or federal governments and/or to contract for and fund the operation of any human services program in Perry County, including, but not limited to, a rural transportation program.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
