AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             Senate Bill NO. 2995

                             By Representative(s) Committee

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute from any available funds an amount not to exceed Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00) during the 2003 calendar year to the Lafayette County Youth Baseball Association.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE LAFAYETTE COUNTY YOUTH BASEBALL ASSOCIATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
