AMENDMENT No. 1 TO AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             Senate Bill NO. 2475

                             By Representative(s) Smith(27)

     AMEND by inserting the following after line 15 and renumbering the succeeding section:

     "SECTION 2.  (1)  That portion of Mississippi Highway 16 beginning at the western boundary of the corporate limits of the City of Canton and extending easterly to the Neshoba/Kemper county line in designated and shall be known as the "Mississippi Heritage Trail."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section."

 

     AMEND further the title by inserting the following after the semicolon on line 3:

 

"TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 16 IN MADISON, LEAKE AND NESHOBA COUNTIES AS THE "MISSISSIPPI HERITAGE TRAIL";"
