Senate Resolution 103

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL ATTACHÉ SHOW CHOIR UPON ITS 2003 OUTSTANDING COMPETITION.

WHEREAS, the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir was formed in September 1980, by Winona Costello; and

WHEREAS, since 1992, Attaché has been led and directed by David and Mary Fehr; the instrumental pit under the direction of Robert Allen; and

WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Sullivan Invitational Show Choir Competition held Saturday, February 15, 2003, in Sullivan, Illinois. Attaché also received Best Vocals, Best Instrumentals and Best Costumes. Trey Finch of Attaché received Best Male Soloist; and

WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Petal Invitational Show Choir Competition held Saturday, March 1, 2003, in Petal, Mississippi. Attaché also received Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Overall Effect and Best Band; and

WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Chicagoland Invitational Show Choir Competition held Saturday, March 8, 2003, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Attaché also received Best Choreography and Trey Finch of Attaché received Best Soloist in a show; and

WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Show Choir America Competition held Friday, March 28, 2003, in Orlando, Florida. Attaché also received Best Choral Tone, Best Choreography, Best Show Design, Best Combo and Best Male Sound Caption Awards; and

WHEREAS, Attaché was honored to be selected as the host choir for the Show Choir Nationals Competition held March 21, 2003, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize the contributions of this national and internationally known musical group which has brought honor to its school, its community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir upon its 2003 Competition Season, and extend to the membership of the Choir the best wishes of the Senate on its future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
