A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MID-DELTA HOME HEALTH, INC., AND ITS CEO, MRS. CLARA REED, UPON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION.
WHEREAS, March 2003 will mark the 25th Anniversary of Mid-Delta Home Health, Inc., in providing quality health care services to the Delta Community; and
WHEREAS, as part of this milestone celebration, the employees will be putting the spotlight on their CEO, Mrs. Clara T. Reed, and other special employees who have shared their talents in making this home health service a success; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Reed has been responsible for providing home health services in 22 counties in the State of Mississippi, and in the past 25 years she has served more than 25,000 patients; and
WHEREAS, numerous health care studies show patients heal better and faster in their homes. The benefits of home care are: (a) early patient discharge from the hospital; (b) patients remain more independent and enjoy greater comfort and convenience; (c) patients and families are more involved in the treatment and healing process; and (d) patients favor the safety and familiarity of their own homes; and
WHEREAS, working with each patient's personal physician, Mid-Delta Home Health professionals provide a full menu of health care services in the home setting to form a strong personal and professional relationship. Mid-Delta's experienced and qualified staff includes Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Dietitians, Physical Therapists and Home Health Aids; and
WHEREAS, through the leadership of Mrs. Reed, Mid-Delta's holistic approach addresses the well-being of each client regarding their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs, working with the local community to seek out sources of financial aid and assistance for clients, thereby providing valuable community service; and
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize the contributions to the Delta Community and quality of services provided by Mrs. Reed and Mid-Delta Home Health, Inc., to the citizens of the Mississippi Delta:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mid-Delta Home Health, Inc., and its CEO, Mrs. Clara T. Reed, for the milestone the company has reached in providing quality health care services to the Delta Community on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, and extend the greetings of the State Senate and best wishes for its future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Mrs. Reed at the Mid-Delta Home Health Silver Anniversary Banquet at McNair Middle School, Belzoni, Mississippi, on February 8, 2003, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
