AN ACT TO CREATE CODE SECTION 59-21-91, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROHIBIT THE OWNER OF A BOAT FROM ALLOWING A PERSON WHO IS NOT QUALIFIED UNDER STATE LAW TO OPERATE THE BOAT ON PUBLIC WATERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following provision shall be codified as Section 59-21-91, Mississippi Code of 1972:
59-21-91. No person shall authorize or knowingly permit a vessel owned by him or under his control to be operated upon the public waters of this state by any person who is not authorized under the provisions of this chapter or in violation of any provisions of this chapter.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2003.
