A RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE CLEM NETTLES FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

     WHEREAS, Representative Clem Nettles has served the citizens of House District 97, which includes Amite, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike and Walthall Counties, for more than 15 years; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles, a resident of Jayess, graduated from Carter's Creek High School and the United States Army Teletype Operators School; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles' strong leadership abilities were recognized when he was appointed Chairman of the Game and Fish Committee; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles currently serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Fees and Salaries of Public Officers and Management Committees; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles has ably and effectively represented the best interest of his constituents and the people of the State of Mississippi during his many years of service in the House; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his wife, the former Essie Ree Craft, and his children, Teresa Lynn, Tony Ray and Wanda Marie; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Nettles' congenial nature, constructive attitude and forthright manner have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express our deepest appreciation to Representative Clem Nettles for his many outstanding contributions to the legislative process and the people of the State of Mississippi and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative Clem Nettles and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
