AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF WAVELAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO ASSESS AN ADDITIONAL FINE TO EACH FINE COLLECTED FOR WHICH A DEFENDANT IS FOUND OR PLEADS GUILTY, FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT IN WAVELAND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of Waveland, Mississippi, in their discretion, is authorized by resolution duly adopted and entered on its minutes, to assess an additional fine of not more than Ten Dollars ($10.00) to each fine collected for which a defendant is found or pleads guilty, for the support of the Waveland Fire Department in Waveland, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
