House Bill 1427

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-3-33, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DELETE THE SALARIES PRESCRIBED FOR APPOINTIVE STATE AND DISTRICT OFFICIALS AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE SALARIES OF SUCH OFFICIALS SHALL BE ESTABLISHED BY THE STATE PERSONNEL BOARD SUBJECT TO APPROPRIATION BY THE LEGISLATURE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 25-3-33, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     25-3-33.  The annual salaries of the following appointive state and district officials and employees shall be established by the State Personnel Board, subject to appropriation provided by the Legislature:

Deputy Attorney General, not to exceed..............  * * *
