AN ACT TO DELETE A CERTAIN SECTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 828 IN YAZOO COUNTY FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM; TO REMOVE IT FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND RETURN IT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF YAZOO CITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The following highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the governing authorities of Yazoo City:

     Central District - Yazoo County:

Mississippi 828 - U.S. 49E Spur - Begins on U.S. 49E and extends west to Yazoo City, Yazoo County.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
