AMENDMENT No. 8 TO AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             House Bill NO. 2

                             By Senator(s) Chaney

     AMEND by inserting the following section after line 460 and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly:

     SECTION *.  There shall be no recovery for hedonic damages in any civil actions.  For purposes of this section, hedonic damages means damages for the enjoyment of life of the deceased, as measured separately from the economic productive value that an injured or deceased person would have had.

     FURTHER, AMEND the title to conform.
