Senate Resolution 2

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CLARKDALE HIGH SCHOOL "LADY BULLDOGS" FAST-PITCH SOFTBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE CLASS AA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Clarkdale High School "Lady Bulldogs" Fast-Pitch Softball Team has culminated its successful 2002 season by winning the Class AA State Championship; and

WHEREAS, the State Championship was preceded by victories in the Division and South State Regional tournaments; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs are ably led by Coach Rick Roberson and Assistant Coaches Britt Bennett and Morris Stamm; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize the outstanding achievement of these student-athletes, who have brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Clarkdale High School "Lady Bulldogs" Fast-Pitch Softball Team for winning the Class AA State Championship, and wish each team member continued success in their future athletic and academic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Coach Rick Roberson on behalf of the team and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
