AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE JACKSON-GEORGE REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM TO PROVIDE LIBRARY SERVICES TO NAVAL STATION PASCAGOULA; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Trustees of the Jackson-George Regional Library System, in its discretion, may provide library services to Naval Station Pascagoula, including, without limitation, all services, personnel, equipment, books, computers, software, funds and any other items necessary to effectuate the provision of library services to Naval Station Pascagoula and for the support, upkeep and maintenance thereof. It is not a condition for exercise of the authority granted in this act that access to Naval Station Pascagoula be available to the general public.
SECTION 2. The Board of Trustees of the Jackson-George Regional Library System may use any funds available to it from any source, public or private, to exercise the authority granted in this act.
SECTION 3. The Board of Trustees of the Jackson-George Regional Library System is granted all powers necessary in carrying out the provision of services authorized by this act. All property, whether real or personal, provided and/or acquired in the provision of the services contemplated under this act shall remain the property of the Jackson-George Regional Library System unless otherwise disposed of in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
