AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             Senate Bill NO. 2179

                             By Senator(s) Burton

     AMEND by inserting the following after line 11 and renumbering subsequent section(s) accordingly:

     SECTION *.  (1)  That portion of Mississippi Highway 15 in Newton County shall be known as "WWII Veterans Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     FURTHER, amend line 2 of the title by inserting the following after the semicolon:

TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 15 IN NEWTON COUNTY AS "WWII VETERANS HIGHWAY";
