AMENDMENT No. 4 TO AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             House Bill NO. 446

                             By Senator(s) Chamberlin

     AMEND by striking Sections 15 and 16 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following and renumber subsequent section(s) accordingly:

     SECTION *.  Section 9-7-46, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     9-7-46.  (1)  There shall be three (3) circuit judges for the Seventeenth Circuit Court District.

     (2)  For the purpose of appointment and election, the three (3) judgeships shall be separate and distinct and shall be denominated for purposes of appointment and election only as "Place One", "Place Two" and "Place Three," and Place One shall be elected from Subdistrict 17-1 and Place Two and Place Three shall be elected from Subdistrict 17-2.

     FURTHER, amend line 8 of the title by striking "9-7-45,"

     FURTHER, amend the title by striking the language after the semicolon on line 15 through the semicolon on line 16.
