AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             House Bill NO. 1442

                             By Representative(s) Committee

     AMEND by striking the language beginning with the word "shall" on line 34 through the period on line 35 and inserting the following in lieu thereof:  "may be enforced by a court of competent jurisdiction."

     AMEND FURTHER, the title, line 4, by inserting the following after the semicolon:  "TO PROVIDE FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THE DUTIES OF RAILROAD COMPANIES RELATING TO PLANTATION ROAD CROSSINGS BY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION;"
