AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

                             House Bill NO. 1070

                             By Representative(s) Fredericks

     AMEND on line 17 by deleting the word and figure "Two (2)" and inserting in lieu thereof the word and figure "Four (4)"

     AMEND FURTHER by deleting the language beginning after the figure "(3)" on line 25 through the period on line 28 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Of the Governor's appointments, one (1) member shall be appointed from each of the four (4) congressional districts as constituted on July 1, 2002.  The initial appointments by the Governor shall be as follows:  Two (2) members shall be appointed for terms ending on June 30, 2004, and two (2) members shall be appointed for terms ending on June 30, 2006."
