A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 43-13-117, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNOR TO ADMINISTER THE MISSISSIPPI MEDICAID PROGRAM BY EXECUTIVE ORDER WITHIN THE APPROPRIATIONS AVAILABLE TO THE DIVISION OF MEDICAID, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AUTHORITY: (A) TO ESTABLISH FOR RECIPIENTS THE AMOUNT, DURATION, SCOPE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH MEDICAL ASSISTANCE; (B) TO ESTABLISH THE TYPES OF CARE AND SERVICE TO BE AVAILABLE TO ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS; (C) TO ESTABLISH SUCH RULES AND REGULATIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STATE PLAN; AND (D) TO SECURE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FEDERAL FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION AVAILABLE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the Senate and the House are hereby suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, introduction, consideration and passage, regardless of any deadlines imposed by said rules, of a bill entitled "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 43-13-117, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNOR TO ADMINISTER THE MISSISSIPPI MEDICAID PROGRAM BY EXECUTIVE ORDER WITHIN THE APPROPRIATIONS AVAILABLE TO THE DIVISION OF MEDICAID, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AUTHORITY: (A) TO ESTABLISH FOR RECIPIENTS THE AMOUNT, DURATION, SCOPE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH MEDICAL ASSISTANCE; (B) TO ESTABLISH THE TYPES OF CARE AND SERVICE TO BE AVAILABLE TO ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS; (C) TO ESTABLISH SUCH RULES AND REGULATIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STATE PLAN; AND (D) TO SECURE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FEDERAL FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION AVAILABLE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
