Senate Concurrent Resolution 617

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 43-13-407 AND 43-13-405, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DIRECT THE STATE TREASURER TO TRANSFER $120 MILLION FROM THE TOBACCO SETTLEMENT HEALTH CARE TRUST FUND INTO THE HEALTH CARE EXPENDABLE FUND TO BE APPROPRIATED FOR THE MISSISSIPPI MEDICAID ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."

     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the Senate and the House are hereby suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, introduction, consideration and passage, regardless of any deadlines imposed by said rules, of a bill entitled "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 43-13-407 AND 43-13-405, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DIRECT THE STATE TREASURER TO TRANSFER $120 MILLION FROM THE TOBACCO SETTLEMENT HEALTH CARE TRUST FUND INTO THE HEALTH CARE EXPENDABLE FUND TO BE APPROPRIATED FOR THE MISSISSIPPI MEDICAID ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
