Senate Bill 3210

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 974, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 1998, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY NOT EXCEEDING $5,000.00 IN FISCAL YEAR 2002 TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI'S "MISSISSIPPI HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Chapter 974, Local and Private Laws of 1998, is amended as follows:

Section 1. The governing authorities of the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to annually donate a sum not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) through fiscal year 2001, Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) in fiscal year 2002 and Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) in fiscal years thereafter, from any available funds to the University of Southern Mississippi's "Mississippi Holiday Spectacular."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
