AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-7-57, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROHIBIT POSSESSION OF UNLAWFULLY TAKEN GAME ANIMAL, BIRD OR FISH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 49-7-57, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     49-7-57.  Any game animal, bird or fish lawfully taken may be possessed during the open season and during the closed season.  It is unlawful for a person to knowingly possess any unlawfully taken game animal, bird or fish.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
