AN ACT TO CODIFY SECTION 73-6-26, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO MAKE IT UNLAWFUL FOR PERSONS TO CLAIM THAT THEY PERFORM CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS/MANIPULATION TO THE ARTICULATIONS OF THE HUMAN SPINE WITHOUT A VALID LICENSE TO PRACTICE CHIROPRACTIC; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The following shall be codified as Section 73-6-26, Mississippi Code of 1972:

     73-6-26.  It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation or association to, in any manner, make claim, verbally, in writing, or by way of advertising, that they perform chiropractic adjustments/manipulation to the articulations of the human spine unless they hold a valid license to practice chiropractic (D.C.) in the State of Mississippi.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2002.
