AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH TO TRANSFER CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN RANKIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO THE MISSISSIPPI EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Department of Mental Health is authorized to transfer and convey to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency certain real property located in Rankin County, Mississippi, being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at a found fence corner at the apparent Southwest corner of Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the South Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 28, Township 5 North, Range 2 East, Rankin County, Mississippi; thence run North 00 degrees 05 minutes 45 seconds East, 822.32 feet along a fence to the point of beginning; thence continue North 00 degrees 05 minutes 45 seconds East, 1121.66 feet to a point
on the Southern right-of-way of Old Whitfield Road; thence run Northeasterly along said southern right-of-way along the arch of a curve to the left, 78.51 feet, said curve having a radius of 390.00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of North 62 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East, 78.38 feet; thence run North 57 degrees 05 minutes 15 seconds East, 189.27 feet along said southern right-of-way; thence continuing along said southern right-of-way along the arc of a curve to the right 103.76 feet to the center line of Fire Academy Road, said curve having a radius of 245.00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of North 69 degrees 13 minutes 14 seconds, 102.99 feet; thence run South 02 degrees 45 minutes 30 seconds West 226.76 feet along said center line of Fire Academy Road; thence continuing along said center line the following courses and distances, Southeasterly along the arch of a curve to the left, 80.09 feet, said curve having a radius of 135.00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of South 14 degrees 14 minutes 17 seconds East, 78.92 feet; thence run South 31 degrees 14 minutes 03 second East, 132.39 feet; thence run South 32 degrees 41 minutes 39 seconds East, 170.77 feet; thence run South 35 degrees 50 minutes 22 seconds East, 83.01 feet; thence run South 52 degrees 43 minutes 37 seconds East, 28.39 feet; thence run South 70 degrees 30 minutes 05 seconds East, 29.36 feet; thence leaving said center line of Fire Academy Road run South 19 degrees 29 minutes 55 seconds West, 20.00 feet; thence running along the center of a gravel drive the following courses and distances, South 09 degrees 52 minutes 11 seconds East, 54.12 feet; thence run South 18 degrees 00 minutes 37 seconds East, 148.01 feet; thence run South 21 degrees 30 minutes 17 seconds East, 75.68 feet; thence run South 27 degrees 08 minutes 17 seconds East, 75.68 feet; thence leaving said center of gravel drive run South 43 degrees 47 minutes 14 seconds West, 454.46 feet; thence run due West, 372.68 feet to the point of beginning, containing 13.724 acres and located in the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter all in Section 28, Township 5 North, Range 2 East, Rankin County, Mississippi.
(2) The conveyance of property authorized in subsection (1) of this section may be made upon such terms and conditions agreed upon by the Department of Mental Health and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency to be in the best interest of both parties.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
