AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO THE HISTORIC DESOTO FOUNDATION, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Desoto County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually to the Historic DeSoto Foundation, Inc., beginning in calendar year 2001, such amounts as the board may consider appropriate.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
