AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO BERNARD BEARD OF YALOBUSHA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Bernard Beard of Yalobusha County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of the crime of uttering forgery in 1983 in Lowndes County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve four (4) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections. He was paroled on January 1, 1986, and was discharged from parole on March 19, 1988. Since that time he has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
