AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ALL FIREFIGHTERS WITHIN THE MISSISSIPPI MILITARY DEPARTMENT SHALL RECEIVE ANNIVERSARY DATE INCREASES IN BASE PAY BASED ON FIREFIGHTER LONGEVITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In addition to all other provisions of the Guy Groff Variable Compensation Plan, all firefighters within the Mississippi Military Department shall receive anniversary date increases in base pay beginning July 1, 2001, based on firefighter longevity.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
