A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE POPLARVILLE HIGH SCHOOL LADY HORNETS SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT.

WHEREAS, the Poplarville High School Lady Hornets have been recognized by Dr. Robert Brumfield, the Principal of Poplarville High School, for their outstanding scholastic achievement; and

WHEREAS, the Poplarville Lady Hornets have worked hard throughout the school year to maintain a high grade point average while also participating in extracurricular activities; and

WHEREAS, the Poplarville Lady Hornets have achieved a remarkable grade point average of 3.47; and

WHEREAS, members of the Lady Hornets Slow Pitch Softball Team include Ashley Munn, Amy Anderson, Krystal Hall, Brittany Nelson, Mary Beth Carver, Vickie Gault, Emily Carver, Heidi Rowell, Nikki Breland, Dorothy Youmans, Candace Warden, Jessica Stockstill, Amanda Hatten, Erica Harris, Jenna Mathews, Carrie Knight, Jena Tatzlaff, Whitney Vamos, Megan Harris, Carrie Cowart, Nikki Smith, Britney Carter, Candace Hatten, Kerrie Knight and Traci Breland; and

WHEREAS, the scholastic achievement by this Softball Team has brought great honor and pride to Coach Pete Jackson, their teachers and Poplarville High School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the young people of this state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the Poplarville High School Lady Hornets Slow Pitch Softball Team for their outstanding scholastic achievement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies be furnished to Coach Pete Jackson and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
