A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE POPLARVILLE HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING SQUAD FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT.

WHEREAS, the Poplarville High School Cheerleading Squad has been recognized by Dr. Robert Brumfield, the Principal of Poplarville High School, for their outstanding scholastic achievement; and

WHEREAS, The Poplarville High School Cheerleaders have worked hard throughout the school year to maintain a high grade point average while also participating in extracurricular activities; and

WHEREAS, the Poplarville High School Cheerleaders have achieved a remarkable grade point average of 3.78; and

WHEREAS, members of the Poplarville High School Cheerleaders include Brooke Burge, Stephanie Comeaux, Leslie Williams, Nikki Smith, Holly Braswell, Meaghan Knight, Kristen Davis, Jill Ferguson, Natalie La Haye, Mary Beth Carver, Traci Breland and Stephanie Burkett; and

WHEREAS, the scholastic achievement by these cheerleaders has brought great honor and pride to Coach Gloria Anderson, their teachers and Poplarville High School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the young people of this state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the Poplarville High School Cheerleader Squad for their outstanding scholastic achievement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies be furnished to Coach Gloria Anderson and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
