A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LIFE OF MRS. BRENDA ROGERS AND EXPRESSING OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS UPON HER PASSING.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brenda Rogers, a resident of Bailey, Mississippi, departed this life on October 3, 2000, causing a great loss to her family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rogers, the daughter of Albert and Bonnie Barber of Collinsville, Mississippi, was born on August 18, 1951; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rogers was an active member of her community, serving in numerous areas of her church such as the choir, teaching Sunday School, missions and many others; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rogers was a rural postal carrier with a loving and generous heart who would encourage those on her route with words of kindness; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rogers was a faithful friend to all who knew her and has touched the lives of so many in her community through her selfless acts of kindness; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Kenny; two children, Wade and Sacia; three grandchildren, Amanda Kay, Drake and Jala Ree; and a host of other relatives; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend outstanding Mississippians such as Mrs. Rogers, who devoted her life to serving others:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend the life of Mrs. Brenda Rogers and express our deepest sympathy to her family and friends upon her passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the family of Mrs. Brenda Rogers and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
