House Concurrent Resolution 108
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING WILLIAM E. LEHMAN FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE WITH THE MISSISSIPPI AUTOMOBILE DEALERS' ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, William E. Lehman has been working for the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association for more than 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lehman, a native of Akron, Ohio, graduated from Kent State University and the Institute for Organization Management at Notre Dame University; and
WHEREAS, having faithfully served his country, Mr. Lehman was decorated in Vietnam as an Army Infantry soldier in 1968; and
WHEREAS, in 1979, Mr. Lehman moved to Mississippi and became the Executive Vice President of the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association; and
WHEREAS, after serving as Executive Vice President, Mr. Lehman's title was changed to President of the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association in 1998; and
WHEREAS, from February 4, 2000, to February 4, 2001, Mr. Lehman served as President of the International Automotive Trade Association Executives, which is an organization composed of over 100 state and metropolitan association executives whose members are the 20,000 new car and truck dealers throughout the United States and Canada; and
WHEREAS, the executives representing the 50 states typically provide their members with professional development programs, legislative representation, legal services, industry relations, insurance programs and a wide variety of products and services; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend outstanding Mississippians such as Mr. Lehman for his many years of outstanding service to Mississippi's automobile dealers:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend Mr. William E. Lehman for his many years of service with the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. William E. Lehman and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
