AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 952, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 1999, TO CLARIFY THAT THE LOWNDES COUNTY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IS AUTHORIZED TO SELL WATER TO THE LOWNDES COUNTY WATER ASSOCIATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Chapter 952, Local and Private Laws of 1999, is amended as follows:

Section 1. The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, by resolution duly adopted and entered on its minutes, may authorize the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority to sell water to the * * * Lowndes County Water Association. The authority granted under this act shall be supplemental to those powers expressly granted to the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority under Chapter 31, Title 57, Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
