House Bill 1680
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE HURRICANE CAMILLE MEMORIAL PROJECT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Gulfport, Mississippi, in their discretion, are authorized to contribute funds, from any available funds not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), during calendar year 2001, to the Hurricane Camille Memorial Project, a not-for-profit organization, for the purpose of constructing a monument for the victims of Hurricane Camille.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
