AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE HEALTH CARE EXPENDABLE FUND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND EQUIPPING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS CENTER IN HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Health Care Expendable Fund created under Section 43-13-407, Mississippi Code of 1972, that is not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Mental Health for the purpose of constructing and equipping a mental health crisis center to be located in Hinds County, Mississippi, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002 $3,000,000.00.

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Health Care Expendable Fund, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper persons, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
