AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY TO THE HATTIESBURG EDUCATION LITERACY PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to donate, from any available funds, a sum not to exceed Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($625.00) during the calendar year 2001, to the Hattiesburg Education Literacy Program (H.E.L.P.).

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
