AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE WORKING CASH-STABILIZATION RESERVE FUND TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF FULLY FUNDING THE MINIMUM EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2001.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums previously appropriated, the following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund created in Section 27-103-203, Mississippi Code of 1972, that is not otherwise appropriated, to the State Department of Education for the purpose of fully funding the Minimum Education Program for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001 $14,424,999.00.
SECTION 2. This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of preventing a deficit that would otherwise occur in the Minimum Education Program.
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund that is not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
