AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE MISSISSIPPI FORESTRY COMMISSION, TO EXCHANGE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) (a) In consideration for the conveyance of property authorized in subsection (2) of this section, the Department of Finance and Administration, acting on behalf of the Mississippi Forestry Commission, may transfer and convey to the Board of Supervisors of Prentiss County, Mississippi, all right, title and interest in certain real property and any improvements located thereon in Prentiss County, Mississippi, and described more particularly as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 6 East, and running due East 6 chains to the point of beginning; thence South 28 degrees, 30 minutes East 8.93 chains to a Public Road; thence North 50 degrees East 2. chains along said Public Road right-of-way; thence North 60 degrees East 1.20 chains along said Road right-of-way; thence North 68 degrees, 30 minutes East 2.49 chains along said road right-of-way to East boundary of the property herein described; thence due North 5.10 chains along fence to Section Line; thence due West along Section line fence 9 chains to the point of beginning. Said tract containing 5 acres, more or less, and being situated in the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 6 East.
(b) The conveyance authorized in this subsection (1) may be subject to additional terms and conditions agreed upon by the Department of Finance and Administration and the Board of Supervisors of Prentiss County, Mississippi.
(2) (a) In consideration for the conveyance of property authorized in subsection (1) of this section, the Board of Supervisors of Prentiss County, Mississippi, may transfer and convey to the Department of Finance and Administration, for the use and benefit of the Mississippi Forestry Commission, all right, title and interest in certain real property and any improvements thereon located in Prentiss County, Mississippi, and described more particularly as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 4 South, Range 7 East of the town of Booneville, as recorded in the office of the chancery clerk of Prentiss County, Mississippi, Chickasaw Meridian; thence run North 00 degrees 06 minutes 13 seconds West for a distance of 330.48 feet to a Set Iron Pin POINT OF BEGINNING; thence run South 89 degrees 53 minutes 13 seconds West for a distance of 289.19 feet to a Set Iron Pin; thence run South 86 degrees 41 minutes 28 minutes West for a distance of 99.0 feet to a Set Iron Pin; thence run South 89 degrees 53 minutes 13 seconds West for a distance of 156.02 feet to a Set Iron Pin; thence run North 27 degrees 47 minutes 06 second East for a distance of 145.70 feet to a Set Iron Pin; thence run North 89 degrees 53 minutes 13 seconds East for a distance of 475.91 feet to a Set Iron Pin; thence run South 00 degrees 06 minutes 13 second East for a distance of 123.25 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
All lying and being in the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 4 South, Range 7 East City of Booneville Prentiss County, Mississippi. Containing 1.47 acres.
(b) The conveyance authorized in this subsection (2) may be subject to additional terms and conditions agreed upon by the Board of Supervisors of Prentiss County, Mississippi, and the Department of Finance and Administration.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
