AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE LEGISLATURE TO TREAT STATE EMPLOYEES, PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND LEGISLATORS ON AN EQUIVALENT BASIS WHEN CHANGING THEIR COMPENSATION OR BENEFITS; A.F.R.P.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Whenever the Legislature causes any change to be made in the compensation or insurance, retirement or other fringe benefits for persons under the category of "state employees," "public school teachers" or "members of the Legislature," then an equivalent change in compensation or benefits must be made for each of those categories.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
