AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-27-31, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DELETE AN INCORRECT REFERENCE IN LAW AUTHORIZING A PERFORMANCE BOND FOR CONDUCTING ACTIVITIES ON COASTAL WETLANDS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 49-27-31, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

49-27-31. The commission may require a performance bond in an amount to be set by the commission with surety and satisfactory conditions securing to the state compliance with the conditions and limitations set forth in any permit * * *.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
