House Bill 58
AN ACT TO CREATE A NEW CODE SECTION THAT PROHIBITS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ANY ADULT ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS ON SIXTEENTH SECTION LAND OR LIEU LAND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Education shall not lease any sixteenth section land or lieu land to any person, corporation or organization that plan to establish an adult entertainment business such as an adult video store, an adult novelty store, an adult bookstore, a strip club or any such business.
SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall be codified in Chapter 3, Title 29, Mississippi Code of 1972.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
