REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

MR. PRESIDENT AND MR. SPEAKER:

We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:

S. B. No. 3272: Appropriation; IHL - MSU -Cooperative Extension Service.

We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

 

1. That the House recede from its Amendment No. 1.

2. That the Senate and House adopt the following amendment:

 

AMEND as follows:

Line 10: Delete $23,624,028.00; insert $24,097,530.00

Line 17: Delete $13,024,274.00; insert $13,074,274.00

Lines 50 and 51: Delete the words "Thirty-six" before the word Thousand and insert the words "Eighty-six"; also delete the figure $1,236,943.00 in parentheses and insert the figure $1,286,943.00

Insert a new Section 19 after line 130, said new section to read as follows:

SECTION 19. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of Section 1, Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) shall be allocated to defray the cost of three (3) Poultry Specialists.

None of these funds may be expended until an unbiased report is filed quarterly with the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House, the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee and the House Agriculture Committee that details the status of the Integrator/Grower relationship and any problems that may arise relating to that relationship.
