REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

MR. PRESIDENT AND MR. SPEAKER:

We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:

S. B. No. 2900: Public purchasing laws; make various amendments (MAGPA).

We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

1. That the Senate concur in House Amendments 1 and 2.

2. That the Senate and House adopt the following amendment:

 

AMEND on line 595 by inserting after the word "procedures" the following: "for state agencies"

FURTHER, amend on line 962 by inserting after the word "contracts" the following: "for a period exceeding twenty-four (24) months"

FURTHER, amend by deleting lines 999 through 1003 and relettering the succeeding paragraphs

FURTHER, amend on line 1018 by changing "(s)" to "(q)"

FURTHER, amend on line 1042 by changing "(t)" to "(r)"

FURTHER, amend the title on line 15 by inserting after the word "LAWS" the following:

AND TO DELETE THE EXEMPTION FROM CERTAIN EXPENDITURE PROHIBITIONS OF BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS AND GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF MUNICIPALITIES DURING THE LAST YEAR OF THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR MEMBERS OF SUCH BOARDS AND GOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITIES
