REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

MR. PRESIDENT AND MR. SPEAKER:

We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:

S. B. No. 2493: Bonds; increase and authorize the construction of two additional lanes across the Ross Barnett Reservoir.

We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

 

1. That the House recede from its Amendment No. 1.

2. That the Senate and House adopt the following amendment:

 

AMEND line 38 by placing the following after the period:

If any monies in such special fund are not used within four (4) years after the date the proceeds of the bonds authorized under this act are deposited into the special fund, then the Department of Finance and Administration shall provide an accounting of such unused monies to the commission.

FURTHER AMEND line 58 by inserting the following after the period:

No bonds shall be issued under this act after July 1, 2003.
