A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING OLIVIA BENDER FOR 50 YEARS OF DEDICATED EMPLOYMENT AT THE PEARL RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Olivia (Levi) Bender of Poplarville, Mississippi, has completed 50 years of dedicated employment to Pearl River Community College in the food service department; and

WHEREAS, Olivia was first employed at Pearl River Community College in 1950, and quickly gained the respect of every person at the college, from the president to the maintenance workers; and

WHEREAS, she has been a faithful servant to the college, her community and to her church, Triumph Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, her close friends in the community consider her a most generous, kind and compassionate person; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize this dedicated public servant, who has brought honor to her college, her community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Olivia Bender of Poplarville, Mississippi, for 50 years of dedicated employment at the Pearl River Community College and wish her continued success in her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Olivia Bender, the President of Pearl River Community College, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
