A RESOLUTION COMMENDING SETH BALLARD FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE.

WHEREAS, Seth Ballard, a native of Madison County, Mississippi, has dedicated many years in the service of his community; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ballard is a graduate of Piney Woods Country Life School, received a B.S. from Alcorn State University and a M.S. from Jackson State University; and

WHEREAS, he has served for over thirty years in the Jefferson County public schools as a teacher, junior high school principal, high school principal and athletic director; and

WHEREAS, he has served as the leader of Boy Scout Troop 287 in Jefferson County; and

WHEREAS, he is an associate member and Sunday school teacher for the Bethlehem M.B. Church; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ballard was a co-founder of the Men of Bethlehem Group; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ballard has been an inspiration to his community:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend Seth Ballard for his many years of community service.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Seth Ballard.
