A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MISS LINDSAY ELIZABETH BERRYHILL OF COLUMBUS, MISSISSIPPI, FOR BEING VALEDICTORIAN OF HER HIGH SCHOOL CLASS AND FOR HER OUTSTANDING A.C.T. SCORE.
WHEREAS, Miss Lindsay Elizabeth Berryhill is the Valedictorian of the 2000 Senior Class of Victory Christian Academy in Columbus, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, Lindsay made a 36 on her English A.C.T. and a 30 on her Composite A.C.T., which is an outstanding score representing the excellent preparation in her educational background; and
WHEREAS, she attended Itawamba Agricultural High School at Fulton, Mississippi, prior to attending Victory Christian Academy, and she has been offered scholarships from several colleges and universities due to her scholastic achievements; and
WHEREAS, among her many activities in school and church, Lindsay was chosen to represent Mississippi on the "2001 UP WITH PEOPLE" tour; and
WHEREAS, Lindsay is the daughter of Vickie Berryhill of Columbus, and it is with great pride that we recognize the academic accomplishments of this young citizen who has brought honor to her family, her school, her community and to the State of Mississippi:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Miss Lindsay Elizabeth Berryhill of Columbus, Mississippi, for being Valedictorian of the 2000 Senior Class at Victory Christian Academy and for her outstanding A.C.T. score, and we wish her success in her college career and in her future personal endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Lindsay Berryhill and her family, and be made available to the Headmaster of Victory Christian Academy and the Capitol Press Corps.
