AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO BRENDA BELL OF BOLIVAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Brenda Bell, aka Brenda Nash, aka Brenda Wilson, of Bolivar County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of the conviction of the crime of embezzlement in 1990 in Bolivar County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections. Her sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for five (5) years. Her probation was terminated on February 19, 1998. The Legislature is reliably informed that since that time she has conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
