AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF STATE GENERAL FUNDS TO THE MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD FOR THE PURPOSE OF REIMBURSING THE MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD FOR EXPENDITURES INCURRED DURING HURRICANE GEORGES THAT WAS REIMBURSED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND DEPOSITED INTO THE STATE GENERAL FUND, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to all others sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund from funds deposited to the State General Fund from reimbursement for expenditures for damages incurred by the Mississippi National Guard during Hurricane Georges, to the Mississippi National Guard for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000 $ 28,168.00.
SECTION 2. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
